Making a habit of self-improvement

 COACHING SERVICES

Strength & Conditioning

A long-term ambition of mine has been to develop a career working with athletes to enhance their well-being and sporting performance.

Throughout my training in Coaching and Sport Psychology, I began to realise the value of an holistic approach to athlete well-being and the importance of a safe environment where an athlete has the opportunity to practice their skills.  The gym not only provides a place where athletes can develop the various physical qualities vital for athletic performance, but also an environment where progress is built upon many of the same principles that promote personal well-being.

Drawing upon my academic background and experience as a recreational athlete, I continually look to develop my skills as a strength and conditioning coach.  In combination with critical thinking and a consistent, simple and coordinated approach, I look forward to working with any athlete serious about self-improvement.

Coaching Philosophy

I believe a strength and conditioning programme serves two equally important purposes in the context of an athlete’s development:

  • It presents an environment in which an individual can become more robust (less prone to injury) by developing strength, flexibility, mobility and many other physical qualities associated with improved sporting performance.

  • It serves as excellent platform where one can practise and learn the basic principles that help promote a healthful, sustainable and high-performance lifestyle.

As an advocate of strength and conditioning as a means of self-improvement, I aim to develop and deliver S&C programmes that promote a consistent, simple, systemic and process-driven approach in service of an individual’s goals. I strive to adopt an approach that is aligned with my personal strengths of humour and honesty, to remain adaptable, and to help my athletes on their own unique journey in the ways I am best suited to do so.
